| “We are getting RAVE reviews of our coffee table books, and your design is such a huge part of that. You instinctively seem to know what approach works best in each case. You have been a delight to work with, always punctual and professional. As a busy studio, we have learned that we can depend on you for exciting, well executed design, all done in a timely manner." |

| "I had been meaning to outsource my albums for a while, just because of the time that it takes to do them. I looked at a lot of different designers and album companies, and just didn’t feel like they really put any "love" into them---When Shannon contacted me, I was really excited about her work and her personality. She has not only done some amazing designs for me, but she has handled everything, from printing to dealing with the album company directly. She’s also very enthusiastic about my work which is huge." |

| "I was at an event at the Hotel Valley Ho last night and they had the album out that you recently did for Harrison Hurwitz (the one where I loved her vintage-style dress). I just wanted to let you know that it is beautiful and the pics on the blog do not even do it justice. It was by far the most impressive of all the albums they had on display. Great job!" |

I told my mother once how I saw life in “snapshots”, perfectly framed in my mind and that shared insight began my family’s support for my love of photography and design. I learned introductory photographic technique from an Irish photographer in the countryside. I continued classes throughout the next six years of high school and at Gonzaga University. Gonzaga presented opportunities all four years of study when I worked for The Gonzaga Spires Yearbook, as photo editor, international correspondent and editor of the yearbook senior year. I honed my craft in photography and editing but found my new love for every aspect of creating and designing.
I consider living for a year in Florence, Italy to be the springboard that helped develop my passion for the creative aspects of design and photography in capturing life’s snapshots. Following my university graduation, I returned to Scottsdale, Arizona and started design work for small magazine publications, becoming a senior designer for GPP Publications. This real world work experience along with my experience behind the camera for 10 years and design work for 5 years helped set the stage for my desire to strike out on my own as Riso Studio. I discovered that I need to create with people who have a vision but need help bringing it into focus. I love people, I love design, I love the creative process, and I love the end result of collaboration!
I hope to work with you or your referrals through Riso Studio and I promise you a unique and creative approach with what you value most…..your own snapshots & ideas!!
Thank you & God Bless |
